After you land: meeting points, terminal by terminal

Between the aircraft door and the car seat sit immigration, a baggage belt, customs, and a longer walk than anyone expects. Here is what each step actually costs you, and where the chauffeur is standing while it happens.

Landing to Arrival Hall

  1. Off the aircraft

    Walking time from the gate to immigration varies more than people expect — a far pier can be a ten-minute walk on its own, and a wide-body unloading takes several minutes before you are even off.

  2. Immigration

    Automated lanes handle most travellers quickly. Queues build when several wide-body arrivals land together, which is common late in the evening and before dawn. Complete your SG Arrival Card online before you fly rather than in the queue.

  3. Baggage

    This is usually the longest single step and the one you cannot influence. First bags typically appear within minutes of you reaching the belt; the last bags on a full wide-body can be twenty minutes behind them.

  4. Customs

    Straightforward for most arrivals. Declare anything dutiable rather than risking it — Singapore enforces this seriously, and a secondary inspection is the one thing that will genuinely derail your timing.

  5. Arrival Hall

    You emerge into the Arrival Hall and your chauffeur is holding a name board in the meeting area. From there it is a short walk to the vehicle, with luggage handled.

Terminal by terminal

Terminal assignments move as airlines change their schedules. Go by your boarding pass, not by what was true last time.

Terminal 1

Arrival hall
Arrival Hall on Level 1, reached directly from the baggage belts after customs.
Where we meet you
Your chauffeur waits in the Arrival Hall holding a name board, positioned where passengers emerge from customs rather than at the kerb. The car is brought to the pickup point once you have met, so you are not standing outside with luggage.
Connections
Connects directly to Jewel Changi Airport on foot, and to Terminals 2 and 3 by Skytrain and by link bridges through Jewel.

Jewel is the easiest place in the airport to lose each other in. If your party splits up, agree to regroup in the Arrival Hall rather than in Jewel — the halls have one exit flow, Jewel has many.

Terminal 2

Arrival hall
Arrival Hall on Level 1, following the same immigration, baggage and customs sequence as the other terminals.
Where we meet you
Name-board meet inside the Arrival Hall. Tell us your flight number at booking and the chauffeur is in position before you clear customs, not summoned after.
Connections
Linked to Terminals 1 and 3 by Skytrain, and to Jewel via a link bridge.

Terminal 2 has more than one arrival exit. Stay with the main flow out of customs rather than taking a side exit, and your chauffeur will be in front of you.

Terminal 3

Arrival hall
Arrival Hall on Level 1. Terminal 3's hall is the largest of the four and the walk from the belts is correspondingly longer.
Where we meet you
Name-board meet in the Arrival Hall. Because the hall is large, tell us if anyone in your party has limited mobility and the chauffeur will meet you closer to the customs exit.
Connections
Skytrain to Terminals 1 and 2, and a link bridge to Jewel.

Allow a few extra minutes here simply for the walking distance — Terminal 3 is where people most often assume they have been forgotten when in fact they have not yet reached the meeting point.

Terminal 4

Arrival hall
Arrival Hall on Level 1. Terminal 4 is a separate building from Terminals 1, 2 and 3.
Where we meet you
Name-board meet in the Arrival Hall, same as the other terminals. Terminal 4 is the smallest of the four, so the meet is usually the quickest of any terminal.
Connections
Not connected to the other terminals by Skytrain or on foot. Transfers to and from Terminals 1, 2 and 3 run on a shuttle bus service.

This is the terminal to get right. If you assume Terminal 4 works like the others and head for the Skytrain, the recovery costs you a shuttle ride in each direction. Check the terminal on your boarding pass rather than on last year's memory — assignments do move.

Common questions

Where exactly does the chauffeur meet me at Changi?
Inside the Arrival Hall of your terminal, holding a name board, positioned near where passengers come out of customs. You do not go to the kerb and look for a car — the chauffeur finds you first, then brings the vehicle round.
How long after landing will I actually be in the car?
It depends almost entirely on baggage. Passengers travelling with cabin bags only are often in the car within twenty minutes of the aircraft door opening. With checked luggage on a full wide-body arriving at the same time as several others, it can be closer to an hour. This is why the booking tracks the flight rather than a clock time.
What happens if my flight is delayed or diverted?
The booking is tied to your flight number, so a delayed landing moves the pickup with it at no extra charge. If a flight is diverted or cancelled outright, message us on WhatsApp with the booking reference and we will move the booking to the new arrival rather than treating it as a no-show.
Can I be met at Terminal 4 the same way?
Yes, and the meet is usually the fastest of any terminal because Terminal 4 is the smallest. The thing to get right is that Terminal 4 is a separate building — it has no Skytrain or walkway link to Terminals 1, 2 and 3, only a shuttle bus. Confirm the terminal on your boarding pass, since assignments change.
