The relocation of Paya Lebar Air Base — Singapore's last major military airport within the urban area — to Tengah from the 2030s will unlock massive redevelopment potential. Paya Lebar is just 12 km from Changi Airport, making it one of the fastest transfers in our network at 12 to 22 minutes via the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) or the Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE). The KPE provides a near-direct underground route from Changi to the Paya Lebar interchange, avoiding most surface traffic. Under normal conditions this is a consistent 12–15 minute drive. Morning peak hour adds approximately 5–10 minutes via the PIE surface road approach.

For PLQ (Paya Lebar Quarter), specify the tower number (One, Two, or Three PLQ) at booking — they have separate drop-off points. The PLQ Mall main entrance on Paya Lebar Road is the most accessible drop-off for retail and dining visits. For SingPost Centre, use the Paya Lebar Road vehicle entrance — not the pedestrian side entrance from Eunos Road. Geylang Serai Market and Bazaar addresses are best reached via Geylang Serai Road directly — GPS often routes via the slower Sims Avenue approach. Evening peak hour on Paya Lebar Road between 5:30–7pm can be slow — the KPE tunnel approach from Changi avoids most of this.
